Planning in light of the unknown

The American planner and urban designer Arun Jain from Portland was an invited guest at the 61st city plan meeting in Aalborg to discuss the inability of planning acts to handle uncertainties and complexity in architecture and urban design. Although he did not offer any easy solutions, his main message was clear: Plan for the future you most desire, and don’t let yourself be bound by prognoses and future outlooks.
