‘BIG’s exhibition is an attempt to reveal the tumultuous working conditions architects face. The archicomic does not intend to poke fun at the inability to master and control the creative process, since ironically, it is when faced with resistance and obstruction that BIG make their most important new discoveries. Real-life obstacles are the best protection against architectural inbreeding – a reality circuit-breaker that keeps tradition from forever perpetuating itself in a self-referential loop of reproductions.’
