Excursion to Everenden
Proximity to nature and outdoor experiences is an important prerequisite for a good urban life, and streams and waterways constitute a natural recreational infrastructure. An example of this is Everenden north of Odense, where a former agricultural area has been transformed into a water corridor with both wetland and forest areas.
The project at Everenden aims to improve rainwater management, strengthen climate action, increase biodiversity, and enhance the condition of Odense Fjord. At the same time, it creates an attractive green destination where visitors can enjoy nature and experience an integrated, nature-based water management project with recreational value.
The excursion at the Urban Planning Meeting was organized in collaboration with VandCenter Syd and Odense Municipality.
