KICK-OFF FOR AGENDA EARTH
Our planet is under pressure. The climate is raging, the water is rising, and biodiversity is at risk. To address these challenges, architects and other dedicated experts are testing new ways of building and planning our landscapes and towns. However, they often come up against obstacles in the form of legislation and cultural practices that are resistant to change. Agenda Earth is a project that aims to take on these obstacles. Determining the best approach forward was the topic of this kick-off event, which included presentations by Kathrin Susanna Gimmel, an architect and partner at JAJA Architects and a board member for the Dreyer Foundation; Lars Autrup, CEO of the Danish Association of Architects; Boris Brorman Jensen (the project’s NATURE track) (MAA) with a PhD in urbanism; Sidsel Gelting Hodge (the MATERIALS track), consultant at the Danish Association of Architects; Marianne Krogh (the TRANSFORMATION track), art historian with a PhD from the Aarhus School of Architecture; Jens-André Herbener, MA and author of the book Økokrati (Ecocracy); and architect Mads Møller of the architecture firm Arcgency.
The event was moderated by Carsten Ortmann.
