Architecture and culture are inseparably connected. Each architectural piece is influenced of the very culture it sits in. The architecture reflects the culture.
In this lecture series, six lecturers raise critical questions on different cultures´ architecture in modern times. The first time you will be introduced to theoretical considerations regarding the relation between architecture and culture and become enlightened on the cultural conditions for architects´ work. The following lectures will concentrate on specific architecture in the world. You will experience a journey around some of the world´s exciting and different cultures and get to know Nordic, Arabian, Spanish, Indian and Japanese architecture.
