FILM ABOUT ROSKILDE FESTIVAL AS A TEMPORARY CITY

FILM ABOUT ROSKILDE FESTIVAL AS A TEMPORARY CITY

During the first half of 2023, I had the pleasure of working with the annual music event Roskilde Festival on the communication of their strategies for temporary urban activism.

‘Over the years, the temporary festival city has attracted and inspired architects and city planners. They have not only participated in the planning efforts but have also experienced first-hand the creation of a festival city driven by dedication and voluntary work. Volunteers work all year to develop the city and build a community where the temporary inhabitants can express themselves, innovate and draw inspiration – from the city and each other. This generates knowledge that we can take with us into society and use in the development of future cities.’

Here you can see the film that was produced.

In the publication, ‘Roskilde Festival City Story’ we describe how the festival incorporates urban development, art and architecture in the creation of the festival city and its communities and free spaces.
