ART OF MANY – THE RIGHT TO SPACE

ART OF MANY – THE RIGHT TO SPACE

A presentation of more than 130 new Danish architectural projects– with images, drawings and informative texts.

The works has been carefully selected and edited by the architect Boris Brorman Jensen and philosopher Kristoffer Lindhardt Weiss who has been appointed by Danish Architecture Centre to curate the official Danish contribution the 15th International Architecture Biennale 2016 in Venice.

For the first time in many years a deep look into recent Danish architecture (2000 – 2015) comes out as a printed book. Not only as a catalogue mirroring the exhibition models but also as an autonomous documentation with many interviews and essays.

The book Art of Many is the story about how a welfare society works closely together with a broad range of architects:

“Danish architecture is not primarily characterized by prestigious projects and architectural beacons towering above the anonymity of standardized, mass-produced buildings. Danish architecture is characterized by a very high general level. It is art for a large audience.”
